Congratulations on completing this journey on your initial excursion into the lands of the history and thought of philosophy.
I hope that I, with Gaarder's indirect assistance, have managed to convince you to whatever degree that there's far more to philosophy than at first meets the eye, and that a deeper look into the minds of and dialogues between these major thinkers reveals how much they have altered the world that you and I inhabit--as much today as in times past.
